In a surprising collaboration that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
